The song, "Can you still feel the nail," written by Ray Boltz emphasizes the idea of a daily crucifixion. Crucifixion was a slow and horrible way to die. If you’ve seen the movie “The Passion,” or have ever read about Christ’s crucifixion, you would know how brutal it was. Still Christ chose the cross; he chose to die, to pay the penalty for our sins. Once and for all, yet, the Bible says when we continually willfully sin, “we crucify the Son of God all over again, subjecting Him (daily) to public disgrace.” The story of Christ’s crucifixion is the greatest story ever told. It has echoed across the centuries throughout the known world, touching the hearts of humanity. We have a choice, to continue to crucify him daily, or accept him for what he is and what he did, our Lord and Savior. It’s a matter of life and death!
