Each month on the third Saturday, a group of volunteers comes together to cook a full meal for the families at the St Vincent De Paul Mission of Waterbury Shelter. Our group prepares during the week, cooks in the church kitchen, and then delivers the food hot to the shelter.
This is a great opportunity for us to be more connected and serve those in need in our community. It’s also a great opportunity for our members and families to take the time to put others first.
We’ve had adults and teens participate in this community service project each month and welcome even more volunteers.
